Job Summary
Works with sales and manufacturing, responsible for setting targets and achieving customer loyalty through consistent, superior, and ever improving customer service. Ensure a full understanding of customer requirements. Coordinates incoming orders with production and shipping.
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain accurate customer records, including customer specific information, contracts, labelling, packaging and stock requirements.
- Provide coverage and support accounts for other team members as necessary.
- Properly identify the right communication method based on the sense of urgency and issue.
- Knows how to diffuse a difficult situation and get resolution with the customers.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in customer care.
- Process sales orders from receipt through to shipment for assigned customers or affiliates in line with Customer Care guidelines.
- Act as a liaison between customer, operations, and sales team to ensure customers’ needs are met in the most efficient and cost-effective way.
- Provide support for assigned customers and affiliates to meet order requirements
- Day to day communication with customers, operations, and sales.
- Interpret and analyze client schedules and prioritize orders.
- Resolve issues and handle customer complaints internally and externally.
- Confirm pricing, inventory availability, and provide ship date information.
- Arrange transportation with shipping / freight team, manage process for dealing with international orders, including inspection and shipping documentation requirements where relevant.
- Prepare Invoices, Debit and Credit notes, process notifications and Customer Returns.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure orders are dispatched / delivered on time and manager customer expectations.
- Work with sales team on pricing, credit terms, and customer requirement updates.
Skill Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A self-starter with can-do attitude
Capable of handling detailed work accurately
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Demonstrated understanding of Incoterms, transportation and logistics terminology
Basic inventory management knowledge
1-2 year in Customer Support role
Microsoft Office Expertise
Experience in a manufacturing environment’s service area is a plus
Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
Team player –willingness to support other areas to optimize customer demands and satisfaction
Ability to work between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Required Education
GED or Diploma.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
