White Hue
White contains all of the wavelengths of the visible spectrum without absorption. Many dairy products, cream soups, confections and coatings appear white.

Titanium dioxide occurs in nature as a mineral and is produced through synthesis. Insoluble in water, it has highly reflective properties. In many regions, calcium carbonate also can provide whitening.

Titanium Dioxide and Calcium Carbonate can be used to achieve naturally derived white hues as an alternative to FD&C (synthetic) colour additives.
